No Family Secrets
 THE BOOK
Wonder if everything that brought you to this day wasn't like what happened
to the kid next door. Wonder if you hold secrets that can't be given
vocal sound. Wonder if they are so bad, so steeped in shame and guilt
you can't lift your head. In the darkness you ask the question that
frightens you most—can I still be loved? And the answer comes from
a sickness an evil that penetrates the walls, and the answer comes back…Never.

words for only you and God. You barely breathe, barely believe—you
make your feet, your hands, your head move in a willed direction, and
